Description

This dryer vent provides an air activated positive closing shuttle (check value) that seals out hot and cold air, insects, rodents, birds and unwanted elements. The floating shuttle is designed to remain closed unless dryer is in use.

Replaces conventional dryer vent hoods.

Mounts to brick, masonite, press board, cedar and other material.

Provides easy access to exhaust duct for cleaning.

Requires little air pressure to operate.

Made of ABS plastic.

Off white in color. Can be painted to match the home.

Installs using 4" pipe.

Vent measures 13" H. x 6-1/2" W. x 7" D.

	The dryer vent was easy to install & works extremely well. We ck'ed it on a very windy day & found no back draft. We are very happy with the product.

	dryer vent
	We have one that was present when we purchased the house in 2004. The top came off and we thought we needed another one, so we purchased it with the idea of taking off the old and putting on the new. However, my husband just placed a large rock on the top and it is still doing well. We now have the backup when the time comes to replace the old one. It has lasted at least 20 years and we know when the house gets repainted, the new one will go one. It is a very good investment.

	I've used these vents for over twenty years in two houses and they work great. Performance in severe winter is great. It will momentarily freeze shut if a dryer load is not allowed to completely dry. However, once the dryer warms up the vent pipe it pops right open. Even if they flow performance is rated poor, the observed performance appears excellent
