Description

All new for 2013, In-O-Vate Technologies unleashes the ultra-high efficiency DryerJack series of roof vents.  This new generation of roof caps is engineered with intense focus on three critical aspects: zero backpressure, denial of access to birds and rodents and duct cleaning accessible; amenities not found on any other roof termination vent in the industry.

As close to perfect as a roof vent can get; In-O-Vate Technologies’ boasts technologically advanced features that just aren’t found on similar industry products.

A damper design providing substantial defenses to bird and rodent entry

Tuned design providing zero airflow resistance (no backpressure)

        Duct cleaning accessible

Small footprint and low profile "scoop" design

A watertight extended collar for secure duct docking

Heavy 26 gauge Galvalume® metal construction

Nailing flange with rounded corners and 6 nail holes

Equally suitable for new construction or retrofit installation

Superb workmanship and pleasant eye appeal

·         Available in powder coated brown, black or white

The airflow conduit increases 63% (12.56 sq. inch opening to 20.5) through the DryerJack; this along with the curved damper provides zero inches of water column pressure in real-life testing. Note: Not recommended for use with high to medium-high profile roof tiles like Barrel, Spanish S or S-Tile.

Our Goose Neck style DryerJack (Model 486) provides the same zero result on back pressure but is better adapted to medium snowfall regions and sloped roofs with medium profile tiles like S and Spanish S tile.

Made in the USA

Complies with IMC 504.4 & IRC 1502.3

Questions and Answers View all Q&A
Q: Can the DryerJack - low profile scoop also be used for bathroom fans??
Asked by:  - 6/4/2014 (Submit an answer)
A: We do get asked that quite often. Our response is determined by the CFM of the bath fan. Greater than 60 is sufficient to lift up the damper adequately. More roof slope also helps lessen the weight of the damper.

Q: I'm attempting to order the #DJK466 low-profile DryerJack roof vent in BLACK via the web site. However, the drop down menu wherein the color is selected does not list black. I know they used to be available since I bought one last summer in black, but are they no longer available in this color? The web site drop down menu only lists Galvalume, Brown, and White.
Asked by:  - 5/22/2014 (Submit an answer)
A: Jonathan, the reason the black is "hidden" was that it was not available and the pop up warning was confusing some customers. Good news is that we expect them in Wednesday the 28th, and they should be visible either Wednesday PM or Thursday PM. Sorry for the trouble.

Q: Is this recommended for flat roofs in Wisconsin to serve light commercial dryers? How do you recommend sealing the unit on a flat rubber roof?
Asked by:  - 6/30/2014 (Submit an answer)
A: We recommend the DJK486 extra clearance DryerJack for flat roofs. See the link for this item below in "Similar Items". For installation advise, it is best to inquire of a local roofer familiar with your roof membrane and local conditions.

Great product!
I bought two of these to replace two traditional roof outlets which were constantly clogged with lint and impossible to clean because of their location. These did the trick. I've only had them in place for a few weeks, but so far so good.

Great flow Easy install
1st used the flex vent cleaner to go from dryer vent to roof vent, and cleaned out roof vent, still low flow. Contacted several roofers to get estimate from the BBB A+ list. None had seen or heard of the DryerJack box, one guy wanted $350 to install, the "sane" roofer wanted $80 to $100 for the 20min install including the extra shingles. He was impressed with the opening size and flap system. Made sure to let him know not to cover the drain slot. Looks great and blends in with dark shingle color, large load of clothes dry in 60 min instead of 2-3 hours.

Awesome product
My dryer vents through the roof with the distance being at the high end of building code specs. Drying clothes took forever with the vent that was installed with the house when I purchased it. I ordered the low profile Dryer Jack and had it installed. Even the contractor was skeptical given the distance. The Dryer Jack has solved my drying problems! Drying jeans went from two hours to 40 mins! My drying times have been cut by 60-70%. I would highly recommend this product to anyone who has a roof dryer vent.

Strongly recommend
My early 90s single story home had a very restrictive builder grade dryer roofjack and 90 degree wall elbow behind the dryer, so I changed them out for this low restriction dryerjack and model 500 retro-fit dryerbox. The dryerbox enabled me to push my dryer closer to the wall without kinking the metal flex hose and the dryerjack significantly improved my dryer airflow efficiency. This in conjunction with disassembling and cleaning my electric dryer and in-wall piping (both which had significant lint build up) our drying time has significantly reduced from 40-50+ min per load to 20-30 min per load. I strongly recommend these products to anyone looking to improve their dryer efficiency/performance.

Best vent for the price
I recently bought a house with no dryer ventilation. The former owner used a dryer bucket which is not the best option. I did research and I put this vent in. I shopped around and the only other place that had gooseneck vents was Lowes which they wanted more for a lower quality product. The product came in quickly and the quality is nicer than what lowes stocks. Easy to install.

Just what we needed
We recently moved to a house that had been a short sale and there was no dryer vent, only washing machine drain. We realized that our only option for a dryer was to vent through the ceiling, something new to me. After lots of research and question asking, the Dryer Jack came out way on top as the most viable yet affordable option. It was easy to install and has been operating smoothly for a month now. The quality of our Dryer Vent was very good and for the price, a really good deal. Very pleased with it!

Dryerjack low pressure drop
I am an Mechanical Engineer and work with exhaust ventilation for equipment. It was easy to install. Its important to have this product because it allows high velocity air to push out the vapor and lint combined into the exhaust steam. I have already recommended it to my neighbor.
